The most beautiful place for a trail ride in southern CA. The horses are all very happy and well cared for and the staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. This is the #1 place I recommend any time someone wants to go for a trail ride or take a lesson. There is also an equine-therapy/coaching program as well for all types of adults, children and groups and the entire space is very peaceful and healing.

Connemara Ranch is a magical getaway in a picturesque canyon above Malibu. The horses are well-cared for, the people are nice, and the owner puts safety first. I've been on many trail rides here and have enjoyed every one. There are also mini horses and a bonus barnyard with goats, donkeys, chickens, alpacas, etc. I highly recommend this place!

Talley and Connemara Ranch provide the best experience, tailored to any skill level, the best horses, and the most magical trails imaginable. Amazing!

I have been volunteering / working with Talley for five and half years, and it has been the greatest blessing! She offers amazing equine therapy groups, trail rides, and Meet Up groups. For equine therapy she has been serving multiple addiction and dual diagnosis treatment centers, but also has experience with Special Needs equine therapy and equine therapy for Corporate Team building. Talley is great at reading people, and is able to give her clients concrete, simple, and constructive positive feedback they can use to change their lives! Her trail rides are on beautiful ocean view trails, not far from Malibu's popular Zuma Beach. Due to the trail terrain, her rides are ideal for ages 10+ and those who weigh under 220 pounds. In her Meet Up groups, you can learn about the horse psyche, groom the horses, and feed carrots! The Meet Up groups are perfect for those who don't have horse experience, want an alternative horse experience to riding, or cannot ride. Talley loves to say that working with horses is the perfect way to connect back to our innocence, and have a pure experience. Come take lots of pictures with the horses! Talley is an amazing horse woman who is able to keep her horses happy and healthy! Her horses are eager to connect with people, and are very sweet and gentle (but they are amazing athletes for a great ride!). I have brought my family, friends, and clients to ride, volunteer, or receive equine therapy with Talley. I have been volunteering at the ranch for coming up on four years now, and this place is one of the best things that has happened to me! The facility has about 30 horses, and they are all sweet and eager to connect with people. The horses here are a range of breeds, sizes, personalities and difficulty levels- everyone seems to be able to find the perfect horse, or horses, for them! Personally, I find hard to pick a favorite- there are horses I love to just "hang out" with, horses I love for equine therapy and horses that I love to ride- no matter what kind of horse experience I am in the mood for, I have multiple go-to horses. And something that sets this place apart from others I've ridden at is that the horses here are very happy and well taken care of, and they love to work! Even horses that have been donated that have difficult behavioral issues tend to adjust very well to the loving and dedicated atmosphere here. Connemara Ranch offers trail riding, arena-based lessons, meet-up groups, equine therapy, and kid friendly horse activities. All of these options are great- I have been both the "client" and the assistant for all of them, and it's been wonderful on both sides. It also offers affordable boarding and leasing (long term and short term). The facility and the trails here are really beautiful and the perfect escape from hectic Los Angeles. It's a fun, supportive community that we have at the ranch of staff, volunteers and boarders, and my boss Talley is always looking to expand our community. Talley herself is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to riding and horse care, and a great person to learn from and rely on. Had an amazing time here! I fell in love with my horse, Emma. The staff here definitely know what they're doing. It was a great trail ride with a small group. I would love to come back for a private ride!

Have been riding with Talley for years and love it every time! She's a true horse whisper and really makes you feel safe and secure and helps you understand the horses and how to interact. If you're looking for a place to ride look no further. She's you gal!

I ride with Talley every chance I get; she is amazing. The trails are incredibly beautiful with fabulous views of the ocean. The horses are as sweet as can be and extremely well cared for. If you love horses and riding it really doesn't get any better
